AboutSteven Kleid Expertise If you are planning a trip to The Netherlands and would like some information on places (like the official witches` scales) that most tourists never hear about, I would be happy to provide a few suggestions from my 3 years in that beautiful little country. Here`s one right off the bat: Don`t limit yourself to Amsterdam!
Experience I was stationed there for 3 1/2 years, as the principal Public Affairs officer for the U.S. Air Force. In 1998 I received a citation from the United States Ambassador to The Netherlands for "...significant contributions to the fostering of friendship between the peoples of The Netherlands and the United States."

Question Hello, I received an offer of employment for Amsterdam and would like to know some details related to the cost of living in this city.
I wonder if €5000 a month is enough for a family of 3 people (me, my wife and my child, 1 year)?
You think of to live well on this salary?
The more details you can provide better.
now, thank you very much!
Answer I'm sorry, but I haven't lived in Holland for some time, so I would not be able to answer your question about the cost of living. I do know that it has never been one of the "less expensive" countries, though, and Amsterdam is probably one of the "pricier" places. It seems to me that if you contact your prospective employer, he (or she) would be able to give you some good advice in this area.
