Question
I would be grateful to know when children start learning English as the second language and whether a primary or specialized teacher conducts English lessons in primary school.

Answer
Hello Lada,

Generally children start learning English in the last year of primary school, when they are 11/12 years old. Some schools start earlier, and some don't teach English at all. Usually the regular teacher also teaches English. The English for these children starts really simple, just numbers, telling people what your name is, some nursery rhymes, the letters of the alphabet etc. Some schools hire an English teacher to do the job, but that's pretty unusual.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions, or anything is unclear, let me know!

Kind regards,
