Any sort of Neurophysiology/Cell Physiology or Neuropharmacology questions, particularly ion channel based in relation to physiological response. Anything other than that will earn you an educated guess.
Experience I have worked in a Neurophysiology lab for 3 years now on various projects for my dissertation. My expertise is the hypothalamic homeostatic control mechanisms in thermoregulation. Also neural control mechanisms in general as well as Suspended Animation techniques and theory.

Question Hi, I'm posting this after seeing your reply to a question about right & left brain dominance.
When i was small i was left handed and my mother (believing that would cause me issues in real life) taught to me to be a right-handed person.
now, i'm a right handed and some brain tests shows i'm a balanced brained and some shows me as a right brained (but never being left brained). do you think these early training has caused me to be balanced brained? or it could have made some confusion in myself..
are there any known information sources available to the people like myself, to read to be more knowledgeable as well as improve myself...
(if this is not the correct forum, please let me know of the correct forum as well)
thanking you,
Answer Dear Ravi,
This is very interesting as back in the 1800's (perhaps even earlier) left handed people were almost always viewed as evil. This might be simply in the european areas. The word sinister means Left or left handed. So perhaps your mother was being superstitious?
At any rate, I don't pretend to be a neurologist, but I do know some things through alot of heavy reading in the area. Depending on your age (the younger the better) your brain has a certain capacity to rewire itself. It is called Neuroplasticity. Children have an amazing capacity to learn, in fact after the 3rd grade you never learn as much in the rest of your years as you did in the first few.
Now are you currently right handed with little or no left handed ability? or are you ambidextrous?
There are clubs and websites for ambidextrous people which would probably illuminate things for you as well since these people have surely done alot of research themselves.
Judging by your test results it sounds like you are still right brained for the most part. But you have began to become ambidextrous at an earlier age than most.
Personally a developmental psychologist would be a great start for something like this. Try the Psychology forum in the learning section and find someone that isn't a teacher:)
