Question You said there is free camping at Valley of Fire about an hour north of Las Vegas. Could you please clarify the location? Is it on Hiway 95 or 93 or 15. I will be traveling from Yosemite National Park and would like to camp there if it is on my route.

Greetings & thank you for your question.
Please forgive me; I do not recall your earlier question but there is NO free camping at Valley of Fire. There is "Primitive camping" for a cost of $14 which includes the $6 entrance fee.
From their website: Camping: Additional fees are charged for the use of these areas and is payable at the campgrounds. All campsites are first come, first serve. There are two campgrounds with a combined total of 73 units. Campsites are equipped with shaded tables, grills, water, and restrooms. An additional fee is charged for the use of the area and is payable at the campground. A dump station and showers are available.
V of F is located off I-15 on State Road (SR)169 and is about an hour north of Las Vegas. As memory recalls, it's at Exit # 93. The Moapa Indian Store is at the intersection and signs on I-15 let you know when you're approaching the exit.
V of F would be out of your way of you're planning on taking US95; very convenient if taking I-15 and only a short way from US 93 via SR168 which runs between I-15 (at exit 90) and US93.
If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.
