Nevada - medical info

Expert: Alan Di Stefano - 8/9/2006

Question
Alan,

I don't know if this is in your area or not;
I am thinking of moving to Reno and I am trying to find out about medical state programs. I am disabled and need some good options.  I have been searching the web sites and it is very confusing. Can you give me any kind of a lead on a phone numbers to call? Or you may know yourself how the state provides for their residents medical care, in particular the needy.
Any info would be great.
Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hello Leah:

The type of information you are seeking is handled by the division of Aging Services. Their web site is: www.nveldercare.org. The phone number for the Reno office is: (775) 688-2964. When you call ask for "CHIP Intake".

I hope that you are successful in getting the information you need.

Sincerely,

Alan Di Stefano
