Question
Dear Joan,

I was born in March 24 1986, and in the morning at 8:53 on a Monday. I am Latina-Puerto Rican I have a tropical/Mediterranean look I look like Jessica Alba but I am Raven Symone's weight. I am 5'4" and chunky.

I have had a religious calling at the age of 7 I saw a holy figure just like St. Faustina. The founder of the divine mercy. I feel pushed to a Poor Clare, and for some reason I feel like I am home when I look at the order. I dress modestly and Casual/Classy. I do not use improper language or curse I think it is very unwomanly. I am 22 my family and doctors say I am wise beyond my years. Lol sort to speak. I am a nice caring lovible young Lady that most people say and love about me. I am very good at natural healing, Theology like Catachism, Biblical Astrology and I am ambitious. Very ambitious, yet I love children and want to show them how to dress properly when you are in the house of the Lord even use proper language. And not use Fawl language which to me that really bothers me. I follow the Ten commandments and when God talked to me through voice and said Come follow me. I listened.

"I see the Virgin Mary, but her skin is Olive skin like a spanish skin. She has lovily eyes and there crystal blue like the ocean in the tropical islands. She told me that the spanish culture pleases her but to an extent, she said I want them all races of Latin and from over sees in spanish to know need to know that God is their God, too. ... God wants spanish cultures to be in the church and wants a spanish face of God.

I know that there are spanish saints but not enough! I want to show all Spanish cultures and Native Indians that they have to stand firm.

I am Puerto Rican but Taino Indian. I may be Latin Caribbean descent but I have Spanish/West African/ Native American Indian in my blood. I know that there is only one Native American Indian that was named a Saint. I feel like I am called to become the second!

So is this my path to become a Poor Clare sister? I need to know.

Answer
Dear PreciousMoments,

Thank you for your question.  I cannot answer whether you should become a Poor Clare sister or not.  Your path in life is for you to discover and walk.  Having said that, there are some truths I will share with you.

First, what you focus on expands.  We create our reality through our thoughts and feelings.  So, if you think and feel in your heart you are destined to become a Poor Clare Sister, then that is what will happen.

Second, separation, in any form, is an illusion.  The term "race" was created by man.  It is a thought construct.  What is true is that we are all made of atoms and molecules, we all have emotions, feelings, and thoughts.

Lastly, you are already a "saint."  We all are.  We are awakening to what it really means to be gods and goddesses as Jesus said.  We are made in the image and likeness of God.  If you believe God is everywhere, then God is within you as well.

Many blessings on your path,
Joan
