Subject: Randy Moss Topps 2007 card

Question
I bought my two grandchildren Football card sets for Christmas 2007. The 6 years old told me that his set was fake because Randy Moss has a #18 on his jersey and 18 belongs to Stallworth. My 6 year old grandson said Moss is #81. He lives in central Illinois and played JFL this year for the Sherman/Williamsville Bullets.  Braydan is obsessed with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.  He refuses to eat when the Patriots are playing.

Answer
Not sure exactly what the question is here, but here's my stab at it. If I don't answer, you can always shoot me a reply. Your grandkids are right. Randy Moss is #81 and Donte' Stallworth is #18 this year. Randy Moss wore #18 while he was with the Oakland Raiders last season. There was a bit of confusion in the mini-camp/training-camp portion of the summer of what number he was going to have. He was wearing #6 for a good portion of the summer. My guess, without actually seeing the cards, is that Topps made the cards before they knew what his number would be and used #18. Thank you for the question!
