New Hampshire - Travel Visa requirements

Expert: Mike Corthell - 6/7/2009

Question
Can a UK citizen travel to Canada and then cross the border into the US if so what visa requirements are there?

Answer
Hello David,

Thank you for writing.

The following information is from the U.S. Embassy website. http://www.consular.canada.usembassy.gov/passport_requirement.asp

''Effective June 1, 2009, U. S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials will begin to require that all travelers, including citizens of both Canada and the United States, present a valid passport, passport card, or WHTI compliant document when entering the U.S. through a land or sea border.''

The website I noted above has complete information as well as other helpful links.

Bon voyage!

Sincerely,

Mike Corthell
