Question
Dear Debbie,

I am planning on being in the US for a family affair during September and I would like to get away for 2-3 days with my wife and baby daughter to somewhere relaxing and picturesque. I will be based in Bergenfield, NJ and so generally I am looking for something with in 3hrs drive of there. But, if there is something that is well worth it, I would drive further or even fly if need be. I have heard alot about NH. How beautiful it is, particularly in the fall. I was hoping that your knowledge of the area and accomodation would be able to assist me whether to:
1. If it is worthwhile to make the journey all the way up there           AND
2. If so, where is the best place to go and stay and what to do.

I thank you for your time and very much look forward to receiving your answer.

Best Regards,

Yoni Raff

Answer
Yoni,

NH is breathtaking in the autumn. It is definitely worth the trip if you have the time and resources to enjoy it throughly. If you are looking for a hotel to stay in I would suggest the mount washington hotel or the balasms. Both are absoultly beautiful. Also the

They all have things to do there and are in areas where you can drive and see some of the most breathtakingly spactacular foliage in the world...at least in the opinion of the locals. My advice is to check out the websites above as they have some awesome things to do while in NH. Also a ride up the cog train which is right next door to the mt washington hotel would bring some awesome pleasure. http://www.cog-railway.com/
It is the oldest of its kind and worth the ride. If you have any more questions please write back

sincerely

debbie
