I was here in Las Cruces NM on Feb 4th. 2011. when it got down to -9. Broke the all time temperature record for the  entire month of Febuary  by 13 degrees Yes it can get down to mid 20's to mid 30's in the morning during the prime winter months. Surprising I play tennis on many of those days. The sun is warmer on the high desert plains and rarely is there breeze and temperatures warm rapidly in the morning hours. You start out in the morning with a jacket and in less than 2 hours you are down to a tea shirt. This is not a cabana type of place but its not a bad place in the winter.

I can answer most any travel question relating to New Mexico. I have lived all over New Mexico and I am quite familiar with the "nooks and crannies" and places that are off the beaten track.

I love to travel and explore. I spend a lot of my spare time exploring different areas.

I am a graduate of the University of New Mexico. My degree is in Environmental Biology. I have studied riparian river systems throughout New Mexico and concentrated on the area around Taos.
