Subject: Moving to rural NM

Question
I am looking for a minimum of 200+ acres-grassland, rolling hills, arroyos, - with a ranch style house that I can purchase and perhaps lease some of land to farmers/ranchers and graze my horses. I cannot tolerate high elevation, snow or having a neighbor. I went to school in Las Cruces but have not been back since 1973. And, I can only locate on the Internet, homes for sale, not ranch or small farms without having to pay some fee which is ridiculous. I do not want to be near a town, perhaps up to 30 miles or endure the desert climate of some areas of NM. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,

Answer
Hi Ron,
Boy you aren't asking for much are you! :-)  Before I answer I do need a clarification.  You mention you cannot tolerate high elevation.  What is the maximum elevation you would want?  As you probably know most of NM is at least 4000' above sea level. Las Cruces is about 4000'.  Also, there are very few places in NM that don't get an occasional snow in the winter.  Is that OK?  Let me know and I will have some great ideas for you.
Thanks,
Steve
