Question i don't have a car and i want to travel by public transportation ( the closest to find near 42nd street with broadway ) and i want to know which of the 2 would be faster to reach .

i don't know if my question is right for you , but here it is , iam a tourist coming to NY and i will be staying in Manhattan 42nd street and i want to know is it faster and easier to go to Hicksville in long island or to Paramus, NJ ? and how to get there ?

Would you have a car? How do you want to travel?
You would take the Long Island railroad to Hicksville.
You would take a bus from the Port Authority Terminal to Paramus.

Both means of travel that I gave you are public transportation. As to which one is faster, that is difficult because of delays on the train or traffic with the bus. Paramus is closer, but with traffic it may take 45mins. Hicksville is about a 45 min train ride. Hope this helps.
