Question Can you break down to me all the jails by borough
Answer There are many jails and prisons in New York City and New York State. Four boroughs each have a House of Detention; there are also several city prisons on Riker's Island, and state prisons in (among other places) Bedford, Utica, Watertown and Elmira. A criminal from New York City may be sent to any of these depending on what crime they committed and what stage of the criminal justice system they're in.
