Expertise
I travel to Manhattan frequently and can offer a unique perspective because I am a tourist.I have so much curiosity about Manhattan and that has led me to gather lots of great information about the city. I consider myself a hotel buff of sorts, and touring them and analyzing their attributes has become a hobby for me. I can give some good advice on restaurants, shopping, and in general just how to maximize those "new york moments" we all want to experience. Whether it is something as small as how to hail a cab, where to enjoy a cocktail and a romantic stroll, or how to dress so you don`t stand out as a tourist, go ahead and ask.

Question
Hi, i will be traveling to New york city to work on park avenue for a year. I will be arriving in New York in late august early september. I was wondering were would be the best place to live? My price range is between $600-$700 a month for rent of a room/apt! I am definitely willing to move outside the city to queens etc.... were is the best place for me to go? I'm irish!

Answer
If I were you I would try to live in Manhattan. It will be so much more convenient for you. You won't live your life in transit. I would explore Manhattan first and then if you get desperate try the outer boroughs. I am not a local so I cannot refer you to any realty companies, but perhaps you can search on the internet for NYC apartments or NYC realty company.

Good luck Jen
