Question Hello,
My name is Erin and I am working on a project for my Information Technology class. I was hoping that you might help me. My research question is: “How do you become a great basketball player?” Part of my research involves finding experts on the Internet. I would really appreciate you answering a few questions for me. I will take the information you provide me, compare it with what others have said and with other research findings, make some conclusions about my question, and then create a Web site.
You need to be aware that I may be using any information you provide me on my Web site, but that I will keep your name confidential. My Web site should be published by the middle of June and will be available on our school Web site (www.cmsweb.ca).
Here are my questions:
· How do you perfect your lay ups?
· How do you hit all your jump shots on the right part of the basket?
· How do you become a great basketball player?
My email address is 19629@courtmid.sd71.bc.ca thank you so much for taking the time to help me with my research.
Erin
A note from my teacher:
Please know that by helping this student you will be helping with research and not doing the student's homework for him or her. I have structured this project to include research by emailing experts. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at Luxenburg@sd71.bc.ca

Answer I am glad to help you on your project. All I ask is that you give me credit by including me in the credits under "NY 2 OZ".
I, for one, perfect my layups by practicing them first try regular ones, then going on to harder ones. You always start off perfecting the basic layups by repeating them over and over, and if something does not feel right, change your style and relase a bit until it feels right, or you score more with them. Then, I go on to reverse layups, and double-pump layups. Reverse layups are when you shoot a layup with your opposite hand, and/or on the opposite side of the basket your shooting from. These layups are far more advanced then regular layups, but if you can shoot these types of layups sucessfully, then you can hit any layup you want.
The key to hitting your jump shots on the right part of the basket is NOT to aim the ball your shooting. If you try hard to concentrate and to "aim" the ball into the basket, your chances will not e as good as squaring up to the basket, and letting your shit go. It is best to shoot for the middle of the basket itself, but sometimes, in tough situations, you should aim for the back board in the square. THis also takes up alittle mor epwoer to shoot the ball, because your shooting over the rim to bank it off the backboard. For jump shots to have a good chance at going in, bring the ball up over your head as your jumping, and relase with one hand, while the other hand guides it frm the side, and snap your wrist forward.
You become a great basketball player by practing often, perfecting your skills, and working extra hard on things you arent the best at. Excercise and devoting, plus drive and motivation are what keeps you going. The most important part is to love the game. You cant be a great player without loving the game you are playing.
