QuestionHi, I was given a card for my wedding with the following paragraph in it and I need it translated. I have have had no luck with the on-line translation services and thought you might be able to help.
E to matou matua I te rangi,
Kia tapu tou imgoa.
Kia tae mai tou ranga tira tanga.
Kia meatia tau e pai cu ki runga
Ki te whenua,
Kia rite amo ki to te rangi
Homai ki a matou aianei he taro
Ma matua hoki e mura nei
I o te hunga eh ara ana ki a matau.
Aua hoki matou e kawea kie
Whakawaia, engari whakaorangia
Matou I te kino

AnswerGreetings Gabrielle,
This is a version of the Lord's Prayer:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours
now and forever. Amen.
May the Lord bless you at your wedding and in the years ahead.
Regards,
