Answer
The DVD, "The Last 48 Hrs of Kurt Cobain" would be a helpful introduction to some earlier work.  There is a website put up be his cousins that contain very early and rare concert footage and audio takes and has the above movie I'm talking about and some others.
The magazine Uncut has some good articles about Kurt/Nirvana and the relationship among the Seattle Bands at their peak.  I believe you can obtain the magazine or archives probably on the net and the magazine is called "UNCUT", and search for Kurt Cobain.

Here is an incredible link:http://fliesonaturd.blogspot.com/

Also, don't read Charles Cross's book.  You should check out the Journals by Kurt and the latest movie will tell you so much, I think you'll leave the theater or after watching it on DVD feeling like you know this person named Kurt Cobain.  The movie is out in the states on Feb. 19, called.  Kurt Cobain:  About A Son.  Great if you haven't seen it.  Join our group!  Yahoo group www.kcwm.com  stands for
www.kurtcobainwasmurdered.com  and you can go to www.justiceforkurt.com, which is excellent and www.cobaincase.com, and there is one more that I am forgetting that has the whole timeline.  But go to the family link for earlier material.  Hope this helps. Take Care, and you can email me anytime at davecashley@yahoo.com.
