AboutJennifer Hollman Expertise I can answer any question about the history of NIRVANA from 1989-present, and even future. Release wise. I can answer any question about the history, life and death of Kurt Cobain. The remaining members of NIRVANA are also not a problem. Any question pertaining to NIRVANA , Kurt , or immediately related.
Experience I have been featured in 1 NIRVANA book.(Eyewitness NIRVANA by Carrie Borzillo; rock news editor for cdnow.com) I have seen every video, and read every book. I own them all and can and do use them for reference sometimes. I have also experienced NIRVANA live at the show in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1993.

Question Is it me or is there no-one around who really remembers what this song was about? The title doesn't refer to a cardboard box and women knew and discussed this song vigorously when it was released. Now all I read is after-the-fact crap that nobody would have dared ventured {without getting 'busted' by their friends}. It has nothing to do with Cortney Love, etc. Is there anyone who knows about the song and its controversial video?
Answer As with alot of NIRVANA songs, Kurt was often asked the meaning behind his songs. In alot of interviews he has been known to just change the meanings, or answer differently just to keep things interesting i guess. Perhaps so that they true meanings were kept to himself, but had to answer anyways. He has often said on a few of his songs, and also those in which you can read in his journals were just lines he would write randomly and eventually they would meld into a song. Interviews wise, He said said that It was about the gift that Courtney had first given him when they met. He has also been quoted to say that song was written abou children that had cancer. His Journals leave even more for one to self interate.
Hope this helps, your email got tossed into my spam mail, it wasnt untill I recevied a notice from AllExperts that your question was never answered. I hpoe that It wasn't too long of a wait.
