Kurt actually wrote "Fuhgawz" on his shoe, Its a reference to the band Fugazi. Its speculated that Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam once misspelled the bands name purposely, ( as Kurt wrote on on his shoe) as a joke against Eddie.
