Question Hello Jennifer
Glad to see there are so many fans out there. Agree totally with your theories re Kurt's death. Did you know the Memorial Committee have recently had a meeting (a long overdue one) having arranged for a concert to be performed in Hoquaim with bands performing in order to raise money for Kurt's memorial in Aberdeen. Heaven knows when this is going to be achieved after ALL THESE YEARS! When are they going to realise the world wants to honour Kurt. His grandfather who has put so much effort in in keeping Kurt's memory alive with the fans, isn't going to live to see this achieved. If it soon gets to the stage where they have got a plot of land for a building and they are in the wanting money stage, what do you think the response will be from the fans? Are we going to be able to get this thing off the ground once and for all? Kurt will live in our hearts and minds forever but God, let his grandfather see this memorial ....... please! x
Answer Hello Lynda,
I sadly have no been following this memorial. I was both honored and appalled when they changed the signs to Aberdeen with "Come as you Are", I think Kurt may have been a little bit flattered but at the same time, that town both made and broke him..
It would be nice to see a memorial, The last I heard was of the teen center they were planning, or has already been erected.
Yes, i would be nice have Leland around to see what Kurts fans would love to see, a memorial to him.
Jennifer.
Sorry it took me so long to respond. I have been extremly busy!
