Nissan Repair - G35 Sedan console removal

Expert: Calvin Iwashita - 2/16/2008

Question
I bought a new shift indicator plate for the console of a automatic G35 sedan. I can't figure out if it just pops off?? It does look like I have to take the shifter off..can you help??

Answer
Hi Kevin

This is hard to visualize for me, as I am not exactly familiar with the G35, however, I know that you do have to take the shift handle off. There should be a set screw somewhere. Be careful, it is spring loaded. Don;t want you to lose any parts.

The console can be removed by removing the screws on the side of the console. May have to move your seats around for that one. Once the console is off, the rest is accessible.

hope this helps -
