my emergency brake light stays on all the time, what is wrong with it and what can i do to fix it?

The master brake switch on the brake pedal is either stuck or out of adjustment.  I would simply replace the brake light switch under the dash.  It is a simple plug and play replacement.  All you have to do it get the plunger to depress when the pedal is at rest.
