Question
I saw your answer to Dustin ( 3/26/08 ) and was wondering if you knew which plug or wire disengages the converter?? The manuals I have access to just show how to remove and install the tranny. Thanks

Answer
Ed,

The plug is on the drivers side of the engine compartment, on the transmission.  This is the short solution since, if the solenoid is not replaced soon the transmission overheat and burn the clutches out.  So, this is only for a short time until you can get it to a shop.  Depending on how you drive you could get away with a few weeks to a few months.
