Nissan Repair - Turn signals on 95 d21

Expert: Von Sudderth - 10/29/2009

Question
I have not had turn signals for over a year. I have replaced the Combination Switch twice, the hazard switch. I have power thru the fuse. My horn does not work, and the Tach drops when I step on the gas. Is it a ground problem? I am not sure where to go.

Answer
Rolly,

Sounds like a ground problem to me.  I would start at the column and inspect all the connectors and make sure the ground is in place on the harness and at the column low.  Also, check your battery for proper charge and that all fuse links and fuses are good.  The horn says that there is a ground problem or the horn pad is defective or the horn relay is blown.  Also, check out back to make sure nothing is shorted at the back of the vehicle.  Email me back with what you find.
