Nissan Repair - radiator flush

Expert: Calvin Iwashita - 11/6/2009

Question
I have a 02 nissan altima and i need to change the antifreez. Where is the drain hose i should use to drain

Answer
Hi George -

That should be on the radiator, defined by a wing nut.

Best way, however is to (on a cold engine) remove the lower radiator hose (which will drain the coolant), remove the thermostat, and flush the engine out with water for about 15 - 20 minutes. Refill with a 50/50 mixture.

Hope this helps -
aloha
