Nissan Repair/Nissan duplication of keys

I too have a 1999 maxima. Locksmiths can't program their aftermarket chip blanks for this car. They only open the doors etc. This car is unique. You have to buy a Nissan brand blank with the proper chip for this car. So far I have only found them at the dealer. $125 for each blank and about $45 to program it, and a few dollars to have it cut. Needless to say, I didn't get a backup key made yet. If you buy the dealer blank you may be able to get the programming and cut cheaper at Walmart or a locksmith.
