Question
Hi Calvin, i have a 2000 Maxima Stick Shift. I saw a post here on this site from a few years ago and read that O2 sensors can be going off because of coils and plugs not working, and how the car can misfire. I was wondering if the same was true for a manual trans. cuz I feel like the car is bucking when I put it in either 1st or 2nd gear. When I went for inspection, they failed me because of the O2 sensor. They said it was leaving fuel unburnt in the exhaust. I'm really stumped. Thanks

Answer
Hi Eric -

Yes, the same issues would hold true for manual transmissions.

However, if there is a misfire, usually there is a specific code for it. naming a specific cylinder.

Can you give me the current code that is displayed?
