QUESTION: This a 1985 and it does not have check engine light or an obd

Answer
Hi Richard -

Although primitive, this engine does have an antiquated version of and OBD 1 system.

Anyway, the only 2 things that do not activate the CEL is the distributor module and the fuel pump.

Because you are having issues only when the engine is warmed up, I am suspecting it is the ignition module, located in the distributor. It is a half moon shaped device held by a couple screws in the distributor.

replace that and you should be fine.

Hope this helps -
