Question
hello henning,as nigerian married under italian marrieage law is it possible get a divorce outside italy?becos my wife is nigerian i was thinking if we regsiter the marrieage in nigeria it will faster get our divorce. please help.thank you for taking my quetion.
Answer
Usually you get the divorce in the jurisdiction where the spouses live. However, some jurisdictions allow a divorce for their respective nationals even if the spouses do not live there. I do not if this is the case with Nigeria. Itīs a matter of Nigerian international family law.
