Question If you are not allowed to "solicit" donations after a certain date, can you still receive monies from pledges in years past? Not sure how the IRS defines "solicitation" any differently than accepting monies not asked for outright (in person, with a donate button on a Web site, etc).
Answer I would need to know the context of why a 501(c)(3) organization would not be allowed to solicit donations after a certain date. Please send me the text of the notice that you received from the IRS. In any case, the act of solicitation is completed if pledges have already been made.
