AboutRoy Helge Rasmussen Expertise I live in the southern part of norway and can find my way around most of the country. I will answer questions about social life, culture, language and politics to the best of my knowledge. I am not so good at travel tips outside the south-eastern parts, although I will try to answer.
Experience I live here and have been guiding members of my family around when they visit from abroad for years.
I am a 25 year old male from the U.S.A.
I have to say, that I only have an equivalent of a high school education.Minimal to null job experience...
Yes, I want to become a citizen of Norway, or a surrounding Scandinavian nation.I looked at the requirements for positive points for Denmark's green card.
I don't even have an associate degree. So, I was wondering, since now that immigration standards have been raised, which of the Scandinavian nations is more permissive? For me, I was drawn to Norway, because of their studies in aerospace and satellite photography.I have always been into the Space industry, sorry off topic. Will immigration accept people who are self employed in non traditional fields? If I told them I was starting or had a blog that makes money, or that I was a small time manager of internet photos, etc.Is there any communities out there who can give advice on what these immigration officials are looking for in an applicant?
I was going to take a course in TESL next year and teach English in Germany, but that was more for me to have the time to explore Europe.specifically the Nordic countries.
I tried so hard to make it here in the U.S.A., dropped out of college three times, didn't have the finances to keep up.
I have seen the whole U.S.A. born and raised here.I live in southern California, all the glitter of Silicon Valley, can't keep me here.Is there any need for construction in Norway? I never did construction, but I would imagine there could be a certificate that would be useful.I just don't want them to think I am useless. In other words I am really desperate, but this does not mean that I don't know how to be flexible. Is it possible for an uneducated American to get citizenship in Norway? Did I mention I have a fetish for photography and aerospace? Oh I remember now. I would be willing to serve in Norway's military.I hate the military, but for Norway I would do it... I must be confused with the French legions. have to be citizen first and speak Norwegian... I am very very desperate... need help must leave America, can't take it any longer *collapses on the ground* ahhh save me
Answer There's really no soft way to say this: Most of the laws and regulations of European immigration was set up to prevent people like you entering. Sorry to say it, but those are the cold facts of the situation.
If you cannot make it in the US of A, what makes you think you can do it anywhere else? Competing with desperate illegals from war-torn countries of africa and asia at the smelly end of the job market isn't exactly the way to make money or get ahead in the world.
The hard truth is that if you have nothing to sell, then nobody will buy.
