Question
I am interested in knowing if the correct translation of the word "once"  is en gang? If so can you tell me the proper way to pronounce please or if not can you give me the proper translation as well as pronouncement...THANKYOU!!!!!

Answer
Mostly, the meaning of "once" can be translated to 'en gang'. Literary it means [one time] or [one passing].

Id est: "once upon a time" = "it was one time" ='det var en gang'

The pronounciation could probably be approximated to

'deh vahR ehn gahng'

where h denotes that the previous vovel is not diphonticed but stays in its original form. The last word is pronounced like english "gang", but with the vowel from "bath". The R is the rolling R of spanish.
