Question
I am looking for suggestions on research topics for a Ph.D. thesis in Nuclear Engineering. I have completed my MS in physics and I am currently in the process of coming up with a thesis topic to propose to my graduate department at a university in Japan. It has been suggested that my studies should concentrate on thermal hydraulics, heat transfer and fluid flow.

Answer
so very sorry for not getting back to you sooner. i love to have the opportunity to suggest research topics. A new hot topic right now is small, integral light-water reactors. I am the Safety Analysis manager for NuScale power and would be interested in exploring potential research collaborations. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me at my work email: kwelter@nuscalepower.com.
