Nuclear Power - Can the use of nuclear energy be justified?

Expert: Dr. Kent Welter - 9/28/2009

Question
Can the use of nuclear energy be justified? What are the facts, stastistics & case studies regarding this? Thank you so much

Answer
Can you provide me with more information with respect to your basis. For example, nuclear energy for power production? Nuclear energy for hydrogen production? Technically, nuclear energy also includes fusion.

The most common question I get is to describe the pros and cons of deploying new nuclear plants in the U.S. Is that your question?
