Nutrition & Dieting/phlebotomy fears

Question
I am specializing in medical lab technology and we are currently learning how to draw blood, but I become so nervous that my hands shake quite badly?is it something that new phlebotomists overcome with training? I am very afraid of the idea that I might fail in my job because of this nervousness

Answer
There should be a brave soul in class who will volunteer to be your pincushion - once you do it - it DOES become easier each time. You learn to 'feel' when it's right.
Deep breath in, let it all out slowly, and as you do,  land-aim- and a smooth move in.

You should be fine - just don't give up.
