About Gustavo Soto
Expertise
For 26 years I have followed the storied past, present and future of one of the most dominate football teams in NFL history...The Oakland Raiders! There is little I do not know about the warrior poets in Silver and Black. My vast knowledge and controversial view points on the NFL and it`s 31 (and soon to be 32) teams in general could prove to be useful to Allexperts.com and to anybody who reaches thier hand (or e-mail) out to me.

Subject: Ref call in the Pat's game

Question
I am certain you have seen the 'incomplete pass' -fumble play at the end of the last game. My question is if Brady was passing the ball, in the pocket under pressure, and the ball wasn't thrown in the area of an eligable receiver why didn't the official call intentional grounding?

Answer
Hi Charles!

Thanks for the question.

The only time the "throw to an eligable receiver"
call would come into effect is would be if the ball
were to actually come out of his hands and hit a spot
or go out of bounds where the ref's could make that
particular call.

I don't know if I am more pissed about losing that
call or more pissed at the defense coordinator
allowing them to romp on us for 60 plus yards in
overtime.  With the exception of some lousy safety
play this year I want to blame our shitty defense
on the coordinator.  We never really stoped anybody
this year except for week 3 when we beat the crap
out of the seahawks.  Our defense coordinator needs
to go.

Gustavo
