what if i feel like water was leaking after i voided at 24 weeks pregnancy?

Dear Theresa

This can be due to rupture of the bag of forewater that surrounds the baby and it is an emergency situation. You should have an ultrasound to determine the amount of fluid surrounding the baby and whether there may be some progression into delivery. If so, you may need to be admitted to hospital and get some medications, coricosteroids and tocolytic drugs, to decrease the risks to you and your unborn baby

Currently I am working as a Professor of Obstetrics gynecology, Menofyia University, Egypt. Since 1987, I worked in many university and private hospitals with a high load of pregnant population averaging 7-9,000 deliveries/year. This exposed me to all problems associated with pregnancy, labor and delivery. I had my doctorate degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996 in the use of Doppler ultrasound in high risk pregnancies.
