Question I was told i am 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant when i went to the hospital because of vaginal spotting there is no embryo but there is a yolk sac and but no baby and my sac is 12.2 mm Is this a bad thing or is it to early to see anything I am most worried because i am spotting brownish pink.
I hope you can answer my question thank you so much.
Answer Hi Beatriz,
This is normal as it's too early to see the embryo, by 5 weeks and 3 days, the yolk sac has only just appeared, you won't see the embryo for at least another week. The spotting you are experiencing most likely will not progress to miscarriage, just take it easy and if you feel any pain, contact your doctor. Good luck!
