ObGyn/Pregnancy issues - Should I go to the hospital?

Expert: Dr. Harriet Johnson - 10/19/2009

Question
About four or five hours ago me and my daughter (5) were in the horse pen while I was holding her she had grabbed the electrical fence which shocked her then me since i was holding her since then i haven't felt my baby move significantly at all I'm 35 weeks should i go to the hospital?

Answer
Hi Miranda,

Definitely either go to the hospital or make an appointment with your doctor. Most likely this hasn't caused any problems to your baby, however sometimes electric shocks can cause serious problems to the fetus so you will need monitoring. Good luck!
