ObGyn/Pregnancy issues/Exercise after d&c


I am an exercise instructor teaching 20 classes a week, Cardio, Zumba, Zumba Sentao,Zumba Gold, Zumbatomic and Bokwa levels 1 & 2. I had a blighted ovum discovered at 9 weeks and had a d&c 11 weeks ago. It took 5 weeks to get a negative hpt and now 11 weeks after d&c I still have no sign of period. I had 4 weeks off after d&c as I got married and took a long honeymoon in Thailand. Since getting back 6 weeks ago I am back to teaching all my classes. I have read that over exercise can stop you getting your period but as my body has always been used to doing so much do you think that this could be the cause in my case? My dr is unconcerned but at 40 every week seems like a lifetime when I want to get back to ttc

Exercise does not prevent normal monthly hormonal cycles from occurring. As long as you are not extremely underweight, you should be having normal cycles. Since you are 40, I would not wait to start basic fertility testing to rule out medical conditions that could prevent ovulation/menstruation.
Consider changing OBGYNs, as your concerns should be taken seriously.
