Answer -
If you have Rh negative blood and your husband has Rh positive blood, you will need a RhoGam injection at 28 weeks gestation and within 72 hours after the baby is delivered. If you both have Rh negative blood, you do not require the injectioins. You also would require a RhoGam injection after any miscarriage.

Answer
If you are Rh Negative, and you do not get RhoGam, and your boyfriend is, indeed, Rh positive, your body may become sensitized against Rh positive blood. The next time you become pregnant, you may have antibodies formed against Rh positive blood and these antibodies can cross the placenta. I would try to find out your boyfriend's blood type, and it he is Rh positive (most likely) you need the RhoGam.
