About Jennifer Helms
Expertise
I have been studying all aspects of this category for several years. I am not a dr. but I feel I do know a whole lot about this stuff. I can answer pregnancy, abortion, fertility and any questions pertaining to the subjects. Being that I was a teenager not long ago as well I can answer issues on teen pregnancy and other problems as well.

Experience
I have been pregnant (as a teen) and had an abortion. I have also had several gynological problems throughout my teen years as well such as Ovarian Cysts and ovarian cancer.

Publications
I do not actually have stuff in major publications but I have wrote several articles for www.kiwibox.com about abortion.

ObGyn/Pregnancy issues - early pregnancy detection

Question
I started my period two days ago, but it is very, very light, when I wipe myself there is nothing there, and I had a period twice last month.  I've taken a pregnancy test ($.99 store brand), it came up negative. today my period is gone, I've also been experiencing hot flashes and I feel light headed sometimes.  What is wrong with me?

Answer
Did you check the date on the pregnancy test you took? Sometimes when you buy from the dollar store type places they can be old and not show accurate results.  If this isn't the case, there could be a number of things causing your missed periods/symptoms.  You could just be getting sick or have a bug or something.  Illness can certainly slow or stop your periods and of course show the symtoms you described.  Also stress can factor in.  If you have been stressing from work/school or whatever it could be reflecting on your body.  I would suggest going to your ob/gyn or planned parenthood to get checked out.  If it is something more than I just described they will find it.  good luck!
