ObGyn/Pregnancy issues - can i give my baby tylenol and benadryl at the same time

Expert: Lawrence Jay Rappaport M.D. - 5/22/2005

Question
can i give my baby tylenol and benadryl at the same time

Answer
Baby tylenol is used for pain relief or to reduce fever. Benadryl is used for morning sickness or to relieve the itching and irritation of an allergic reaction. They can be given together because they have different actions. Benadryl is an antihistamine and Tylenol is an antiinflammatory agent.
