ObGyn/Pregnancy issues - pregnancy and bacterial vaginosis and uti

Question
Hi,
Last month I went into the OB for a check up. When my Pap smear came back it was positive for bacterial vaginosis. She put me on Metronidazole suppositories. I just went back today for the results of my recheck and the infection is still there. This time she put me on Albothyl (policresulen) suppositories. I just found out I'm pregnant - I will be 5 weeks on Monday Sept. 26th. Is this medicine safe to use during pregnancy?
We currently are living in the Philippines, and that is the only reason I worry.
I also have a urinary tract infection that said could be from the vaginal infection. For that she put me on 500mg of Ampicillin 4xday for 7 days. Also duphaston 10mg 3xday for 3 days, and duvadilan 10mg 3xday for 3 days.
I just want to make sure this is all needed and safe to use.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Answer
Flagyl suppositories are safe for use during pregnancy, as are Ampicillin, and duphaston. However, I am unfamiliar with Albothyl. The only antibiotics approved during pregnancy for bacterial vaginosis are Flagyl cream (suppositories) or Cleocin cream.
