Question
I am 20 years old and have had a miscarraige.my last period was july 6th 05. I had to have a D&C the day of the miscarraige and bled for a few days and now I only have a brown discharge when i go to the bathroom or sometimes a little in my underwear but normally only round the time i have to go to the bathroom. I was told to wait 1-2 weeks to do anything so I waited till the second week and then i had sex again. I couldnt eat anything the day of the miscarraige or the day after now i cant stop eating and always feel bloated and still have to go to the bathroom more than most could i be pregnant again? if i bought a preg test would it be inaccurate since i just miscarried? Is it true most women get pregnant again by the time the miscarried baby was due? if i keep having sex every week is it true that its easier to get pregnant again within the first three cycles and when are the three cycles and that my fertility rate is higher cause of my hormones? Can you also get pregnant while bleeding? I am also still taking prenatal vitimans and trying to stay healthy for when and if im preg again. thanks.

Answer
If you miscarried and had a D&C on July 6, the earliest you could have ovulated again would have been two weeks later (July 19). You could have conceived if you had sex on July 18,19,20, or 21. If you did become pregnant on one of those days, a pregnancy test would not show a positive result unitil 14-21 days later. The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your next period. Usually, you will not become pregnant until after you stop bleeding and have a normal period. If you are ovulating, you can easily become pregnant whether it is right away or in several months from now.
