Question im 19 years old and i expected to have me period start on sept.28th at least my july and august periods were around then but on june 20th i had had a miscarriage (i was about 8 weeks). i think maybe my cycle might have been off but it wasnt off for the last two months and now im not sure. i took a pregnancy test on the 1st of october and it read negative but i still didnt start. my husband told me not to be jumpy and to take another one in a couple days if i hadnt started. well i ended up getting really busy and i didnt have a chance to take it until this morning the 9th of october. there was a faint line which is supposd to mean it pick up the pregnancy hormone but not a lot of it? but im still not sure if i should get my hopes up. i would appreciate any suggestions you might have.
thank you very much

Answer When was the date of the first day of your last period? (not when you expected your period to start). The best time to take a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your period. The test must have bold, dark lines. if the line was faint, it may still be too early to take the test. If you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs on cycle day #14 and the best time to take a pregnancy test is 21 days after the day of ovulation. If you were due for your period on September 28, by now a pregnancy test will be accurate.
