Question
Is it better to quit "cold-turkey" or to ween yourself of of cigarettes when you are a moderate to heavy smoker?

Answer
This will depend on who you ask.  I have had women tell me that their Dr. has told them to not even worry about trying to quit while pregnant if it is going to stress them out!
WHAT?  That sounds bizzare to me, I think that quiting smoking is one of the first sacrafices you should make for you child.
Being an ex-smoker I understand it is hard to quit.  I think you should just quit, I think everyone should, I did and here is how.
I smoked my last ciggerette about nine at night before I went to bed.  When I woke up about eight or so I had already stopped smoking for about eleven hours!  I just kept telling myself, "You have already not smoked eleven hours, twelve hours, etc. it would be silly to turn back now"
My thinking on this is, it beats stopping in the day when you can count every minute and feel as if you are not making any progress.
That was almost six years ago, I have not touched one since!
Good luck to you and Congrats!
