Expert: Amy, RN - 7/12/2006

Question
I just moved, i have an appointment set up to see a obgyn, but thats not for another week. i've been feeling like my body weights 300lbs. sometimes my feet don't won't to hold me up, like there just to weak. i'm also dizzie and having a vary hard time keeping anything down. im 28 weeks pregant. what would you recomend that i do? i feel horrible.

Answer
Hi Brandy,

You poor thing!  That is awful.  It sounds to me like you have the flu.  However, I would definately call and get in to see your doctor sooner.  If you get dehydrated, it can cause pre-term labor and I think you should just get checked out to make sure everything is okay.  I hope you feel better!
