Question im 21 years old. I have no children. The last day of my period was may 31. i was just wandering if something could be wrong with me...within this last week i have been having a lot of i guess what you would call discharge coming out. It is really yellow and i even have to wear a tampon to keep it going through my clothes. I take ortho-tricyclin and have been on that for a while so i dont think its that. i am sexually active with my boyfriend. any advice would be nice thanks.
Answer If you have a yellow vaginal discharge, it may be due to an infectin (bacterial vaginosis) or due to a yeast infection. If it itches and has a foul smell, it is most likely bacterial and you should be started on antibiotics. There is no way to tell without examining you and I would suggest that you make an appointment with your gynecologist and have it checked out.
