Object Oriented Programming - Confused Beginner

Question
Hi Marty,

I'm a beginner and want to start on learning designing webpages. I'm currently learning Think in Java by Bruce Eckel, but as a totally new dummy to the field, I got lost after reading 3 pages of it. Can you help me learning this, any tips or other books I should read before moving on to this one?

Thanks a lot

Answer
Angela,

If your goal is to write webpages suggest starting out learning HTML. There are many online tutorials available for a beginner and I recommend you start by installing Firefox along with a few of the free extensions.

For starters maybe start by installing the Html Validator and Inspect This extensions - which you can find after installing Firefox under the Tools menu item > Add-ons.

Write back with more questions as they come up.

Marty
